This painting displays the silhouette of a bear containing quilt work segments of various symbols. Each section carries a story, starting from the head with a rising sun and bear paw. The upper torso carries a traditional dancer petroglyph, stars and the Mi’kmaq chief insignia. The lower torso shows a scene of fisherman, in reference to the fisherman petroglyphs found at Kejimikujik Park in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
